Let’s let Danielle Walker introduce herself

I’m Danielle, I grew up in the rainforest eradicating feral pigs, swimming in creeks and foraging for wild raspberries. My grandad built a flying fox over a river, it was basically a hammock attached to a wire and you’d pull yourself over. I have a severe fear of heights, unrelated. Imho my Grandad is the coolest person in the world. My biggest regret in life is buying a hatstand, IT’S COVERED IN JUNK!! That’s an example of how relatable I can be.

WINNER, Pinder Prize, Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2022

NOMINEE, Most Outstanding Show, Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2022

Gary Eck is a stand-up comedian, actor, director, and writer with a wide range of experiences in Film, Television and Radio. He’s one of those comedians with a bio so long that it kind of has to be short. You know him. If you want, there’s lots more detail at www.garyeck.com

Sarah Gaul is an award-winning musical comedienne, actor, writer and improvisor.

Sarah is a Sydney-based multi-hyphenate who loves nothing more than performing, eating assorted cheeses and sitting at the local dog park with bacon-lined pockets.

She’s so good that we’ve got her at The Bar Ha Ha every night of the Festival this year.

Your MC for the night, AJ Lamarque is one of Australia’s rising stars in Comedy. A proud Mixed Raced, Queer comedian, AJ has garnered a formidable reputation as a skilled writer, a charismatic performer and a strong community leader.

He was selected to be a part of the Australian Council for the Art’s Future Leader program for 2022/2023 for his work in the Comedy industry. He was also invited to join Sydney Comedy Festival’s prestigious FRESH Program for 2022 with his show English Breakfast. In 2020, AJ made it to the NSW RAW Comedy State Finals.

Who else?

And absolute favourite at the Hunters Hill Comedy Festival, local boy Marty Bright is also one of the nicest guys in the Sydney comedy scene. He’s a tireless tourer and just won the Artistic Merit Award at Dubbo Fringe. He’s utterly charming and downright hilarious.

Kevin Jin was a Raw Comedy National Finalist in 2018. He sold out his 2021 and 2022 Sydney Comedy Festival runs. He has had a rat’s tail for his entire life. He needs to write a better bio though.

Carolyn Swindell is Australia’s favourite wealthy white lady comedian. She’s just sold out her run at the Sydney Comedy Festival with ehr show Nice Lady MP. She was shortlisted for Best Comedy at Sydney Fringe in 2019.
